Over the past year, I’ve gone from thinking meditation was hard and impossible to making it an almost everyday practice. It can take some time to get used to, but it’s worked wonders for my mental health. I’m always looking for new meditations to try, which is why I’m superexcited that Deepak Chopra and J Balvin have teamed up and created Renew Yourself: Body, Mind, & Spirit, a 21-day, free meditation in both English and Spanish.
In an essay for People, Balvin opened up about his mental health, sharing that he’s experienced both anxiety and depression, and that meditation has been one of the tools he’s used to help manage his mental health. If you’re looking for ways to help improve your mental health and build out a self-care routine, we recommend meditating.
Each meditation is 20 minutes and opens with “guided wisdom and storytelling” from Balvin followed by a guided meditation by Deepak Chopra. The meditations will be released daily so make sure you’ve signed up to access them on the Chopra website. In addition to the daily meditations, you’ll also recieve a daily message and journaling prompts to complete each day. “Together we will set the stage for a more peaceful, inclusive, just, sustainable, healthy, and joyful world for all,” Chopra said in the press release.
I’m excited about this collaboration and that Balvin and Chopra are helping to make wellness more accessible, and I can’t wait to try out this series for myself!
